These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MediVolo’s website, platforms, and healthcare services. By registering, using, or accessing any part of our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
- Overview of Services
- MediVolo provides virtual healthcare and telehealth services via video, phone, chat, or other digital means, delivered by licensed healthcare professionals in Canada.
- Services may include consultations, diagnostics, prescriptions, referrals, follow-ups.
- Some services may be covered under public insurance (e.g. OHIP) where applicable; others are private/self-pay.
- Eligibility & User Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your province) or have legal guardianship consents to use the Services.
- You must be a resident of a province/territory where MediVolo is licensed to provide Services.
- You must provide and maintain accurate information and credentials.
- Medical Disclaimer & Risk
- MediVolo’s services are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you believe you are having an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
- Diagnoses, treatments, prescriptions are based on the information you provide; you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of that information.
- Telehealth has inherent risks (e.g. limitations of remote assessment, network failures, delays). You acknowledge these risks.
- Appointments, Consultations, and Prescriptions
- Scheduling: how to book, cancel, reschedule policies.
- Make sure you have the required technology (camera, internet, etc.).
- Providers may decline or defer consultation if they cannot safely proceed (e.g. lack of sufficient information).
- Prescriptions are issued in accordance with regulations; some may require verification or follow-up.
- Fees, Billing, and Payments
- For public insurance‐eligible services, billing will follow applicable provincial rules.
- For private/self-pay services, fees will be disclosed in advance and must be paid as required.
- Any third-party payers (employers, insurers) must be properly authorized.
- Refund/cancellation policies to be specified.
- Intellectual Property
- All content on MediVolo’s website and platforms (text, graphics, logos, software) is owned or licensed by MediVolo.
- You may not reproduce or use such content without explicit permission.
- User Obligations
You agree to:
- Use the Services lawfully and ethically.
- Provide accurate and current information.
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.
- Not misuse the platform (no hacking, no unauthorized access, no spamming).
- Termination & Suspension
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or as required by law.
- Upon termination, certain obligations survive (privacy, intellectual property, liabilities).
- Liability Limitations
- MediVolo and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service.
- You use the Services at your own risk, especially where limitations or technology failures occur.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance
- Our providers are licensed and regulated under the applicable provincial/territorial health regulatory bodies.
- We comply with applicable health information privacy laws (PIPEDA, PHIPA, etc.).
